When we are talking about a surprising renovation project that could change a dwelling vibe and spirit, we need to look at the Rozelle Burrow project carried by Benn and Penna Designs.
The quest for the home renovation was to bring up the home to be more livable by adding friendlier architecture and interior elements. The owner said that they want their home to feel more spacious with some addition of modern approach so it will look fresh and new.
Rozelle Burrow Design Overview
Interior renovation seems to be the main part of this project as the owner wanted their house looks alike to the previous project done by the contractor. The main element that was brought for the house is a combination of modernity and domestic sense. Thus it made the result so impressive with the light-colored wood surface and some natural stone accents.
The sense of modern design is very straight forward with very little curving elements. The clean line can be seen in the kitchen that applied a brilliant concept combining light oak color and light greyish marble accent.
We can also see the use of appliances that blend perfectly giving more modern style to the home interior. It blends nicely and seamlessly with the body of the house that creates a perfect modern visual to this modern house interior.
Another point of the interior style is the selection of furniture. It seems that the designer wanted to maintain the concept which is bright and spacious with very simple furniture which color was inlined with the background.
The interior is also lack of statement elements making the home look very cool and calm in every corner. The other elements like decorating light pendants were also given but with a very small focal point.
Nevertheless, there is no dull and boring experience when we are in this house. This just feels cozy due to the bottom-up woody surface that makes this home feels like a recreation house.
The renovation of the house was not only done inside the house. The owner said that they want a new dwelling that conveys incorporative elements inside and outside.
Luckily, the home has a backspace area that is enclosed in all of it side. This area is perfect for outdoor family or gathering space as this open space still grant more privacy to the owner.
The renovation was then undertaken by considering a patio as a backyard decoration. The concept of the decoration in this space was still the same by integrating domestic sense with the modern home decor. Therefore, we can still find the use of simple exterior elements that are beautified by Adirondack chairs.
Maximal interior sense of space
The project was carried out to fulfill the owner’s need for a dwelling that maximizes available space into larger place to live. However, the designer gave more than that as it is not only spacious but also homey and livelier.
From space to space, the color is aligned to make a single concept of an interior that is integrated. Wood color, fabric, and paint color are some elements that contribute to the airy sensation as we enter the house. There is no stress point as it is all calmly flowing from corner to corner.
This inspiration for a warm domestic style to a modern home is very worthy for us who need a modern home style that is still friendly and calm. The use of bright color and light wood accents is so brilliant to give more brightness so the house would hide its “burrow” character.
The owner is said to be very happy about the result. They are very satisfied that the house can look as they wish as it is also practical for a dwelling.
