In 2016, Idearch Studio had continued its Multiplying Architecture project in the Loft Renovation in order to find the best way of having a home renovation with minimum use of material to get the maximum result of transformation.
Renovation Elements
The loft renovation site is in Madrid and the quest of this project is to make a versatile home with complex and maximum utilization of space. A modern approach is very straight forward applied in this house as it evinces a complexion of functionality rather than shapes and objects.
In the first level of the loft, prominent simple usage of elements is very clear. However, several statements are applied to revive a smart playful sense inside this home. The minimum usage of object and shapes are really impressive as they can create little complexity into a simple appearance.
The combination of wood, plastic, and steel materials is really clear on this level. The application of bright and clean surfacing can emit a spacious radiant enhancing the modern yet simple architecture taste.
A Simple Mezzanine Design
This renovation was said to be very effective in creating such a versatile space that promoted the function and maximum transformation of a house in a simple renovation effort. The designer wanted to apply the effective way of renovation which does not pile things up in an extravagant way.
To achieve this effectivity, a mezzanine style is used to recreate an open space into a very functional dwelling. The concept was done with the construction of steel beams that were let open showing a strong structure. Coloring was done in a very effective way that made an eye-pleasing combination emitting a new look all over the level.
Moving up to the second level, the changing look is magically recreating another character of the house. The modern and metropolitan style was dimmed into a very classic and warm home style. We will recall this to resemble a Japanese zen house which offers a rich wooden look a very neat arrangement.
The rich wooden tone on this level is very helpful to make a warm and friendly vibe. The combination of a bright white wall to ceiling color can make a sensible background that helps the whole area of this floor to be efficient.
