Futurist House Featuring Brick Exterior in Elegant Contemporary Design – Les Elves, Quebec

Constructing a house in scenic location is a challangeful job since it needs to make a cohesion that let the construction mingle with the surrounding. There are many architetural geniuses that have successfully completed such a concept and this can be one of them.

Located in Morin-Heights of Quebec, Les Elves was a project completed by Alain Carle Architecte in 2011. The architeture concept was to create a dwellling that fit on a mountain side sloping land. The rocky land and bare vegetation of surrounding area had become a point among several considerations to create a monumental building in this space.

Fragmented Architetural Concept

Les Elves has a design that was fragments which consists of several blocks serve as different house segments. The purpose was likely to create as many as openings and open spaces that let the house dwellers enjoying as much as scenic landscape of this area.

From the entrance, the house was set to decieve the observers with its low style building displaying flat house concept with classic brick exterior walls.

Simple and humble blocks are presented from the entrance pathway. The combination of greyish brick and dark wooden deck is dominating the front view of this house. On this point of view, the building is giving a character that mingles with the surounding vegetation colors.

Built on a sloping land, the building has a different height of each level as it creates an interesting prespective when we turn around to the other site. A monumental concept that standing up on sky background is a completly different character to the other low and humble entrance point.

Boreal vegetation and forest on the right and left side of the building let the concept become a perfect company that can blend with them.

Different from the entrance site, the building from the lower land side is showing a balanced display of wood and brick. Greyish and brownish tones are those which are really earthly as it perfect for such a remote house in the midle of Canadian forest area.

The European brick model showed on many exterior walls are a really smart choice by the designer. Combined with its flat roof character, the house can resemble an appearance of a medival castle that was sit on a highland.

This interesting exterior concept is very amazing as the building has a strong character that makes it really beautiful corporating with surrounding envrionment and also terrain.

Comfortable Interior Style in very Modern Design

Having a strong and bared exterior concept, the house interior is a little bit different. Though and sturdy building design was set to create such a cozy and welcoming interior part.

White surface is dominating the entire wall and ceiling sides to make the house looks airy and spacious. The improvements of that white surface color gives are not only on creating a wider prespective to the house meanwhile it was also set to make a neutral background to the home.

The next obvious style the enhances this house cozy display is the dark stained wood floor panels. They were really nice and clasics to make a counter expression that are dominated by white surfaces.

The concept of fragmented building still looks nice from the interior side. Many doors and large windows have created an enough opening for more sun penetrations.

Minimalist design approach that was applied to the interior side was really enlivened the situation. Simple and minimalist furniture selections has improved the overall house character that was rich in natural earhty colors. Moreover, the brick interior wall clading in the family room has been really nice as it also enrichen and enliven the eintire concept of this house.
